First Examination Timetable Published for October 2026 to March 2027

The Education Department has published its first examination timetable. Eighteen sittings of the Department's written papers are timetabled between 19 October 2026 and 19 March 2027, covering the foundation, operator, assessor and refresher papers.

Foundation and refresher papers will be sat monthly. The operator written paper will be sat in October, November, January and March, with the practical paper taken in the days following each written sitting. The assessor written paper will be sat in November 2026 and February 2027, with the supervised assessment arranged individually with each candidate who passes.

Registration for each sitting closes ten working days before the date of the paper. Registration for the sittings of 19, 20 and 23 October therefore closes on 5, 6 and 9 October respectively. Results are issued in writing within twenty working days of each sitting, and the timetable gives the date by which candidates at each sitting may expect them.

Candidates registered through an approved provider are registered by that provider. Candidates trained by the Department itself, and holders of transitional certification sitting the refresher paper, register by writing to the Department.
